Losing Faith tells the poignant story of how our faith is tested when tragedy strikes. Christians aren’t perfect. We all fall. We’re all human. Daily struggles abound and life’s tragedies keep us humble and remind us who’s in charge.
Malcolm loses his daughter in a car accident that wasn’t his fault. Having survived the accident, his guilt has him believing that he is responsible for her death. He’s losing his focus. He’s losing is direction. He’s losing his faith. Continued confrontations with Jose, a young Latino employee, further tests Malcolm’s faith. Jose fluctuates between being the gang member he pledged to be and the husband and father he has become. He recognizes a desire for more out of life, though he’s not sure exactly what that is or how to get there.
Malcolm’s slip from faith collides dramatically with Jose’s inner struggle to let go of the familiar and embrace a new horizon. It is only then that they are able to see the better path before them and become the men they are destined to be.
